Sgt. Devin C. Poche’ of Maple Hill, North Carolina joined the Army in February 2005, and was assigned to Schofield Barracks in October of that year. The 5’9″, 202 pound bodybuilder enjoyed weightlifting and could bench press 289 pounds. Survivors include his mother, Sandra Poche, father, Kevin Poche; sister, Nikia Poche; and maternal grandparents, Arnold Moore and Nancy Moore. Devin died at age 25 at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, near Tikrit, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.
