Sgt. Daniel J. Patron of Canton, Ohio died at age 26 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Dan was serving his third tour of duty, having served deployments in Iraq in 2005 and 2009.
Burial is at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon, Ohio
