Pvt Danny Chen

Pvt. Danny Chen, 19, of Manhattan, New York, died Oct. 3 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He Joined the Army in January of 2010 and had been in Afghanistan for just two months. Danny is a graduate of Pace High School and briefly attended Baruch College before enlisting In January of 2011. He had hoped to become a member of the New York City Police Department after his service.
