Petty Officer 3rd Class Micah Aaron Hill

Petty Officer 3rd Class Micah A Hill, 27, of Ralston, Nebraska enlisted on the United States Navy in June of 2004. After graduating recruit training at Great Lakes, Illinois he attended Naval Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut. He later served on the ballistic submarine West Virginia and the carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower. He reported to the Enterprise in November of 2009. He died at age 27 as a result of a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the USS Enterprise as a machinist’s mate. At the time, Enterprise was deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting operations in support of Operation New Dawn.
Burial is at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska
