FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did you create Freedom Remembered?
Freedom Remembered was launched to have a place to remember those who have died while serving during OEF, OIF or OND. It’s a place where others can read about their lives, their passions, and the legacy they’ve left behind. These stories are compiled to make sure the sacrifices made by those who died so far from home are remembered.
Why can’t I find the person I’m looking for?
Freedom Remembered is a work in progress, not all of the stories have been entered. New names are added daily and we welcome submissions.
Where do you get your information?
Information is gathered through research from news articles, obituaries, paid sites, military info, and through interviews.
How can I contact Freedom Remembered about a personal interview?
If you’d like to personally talk with Freedom Remembered to offer more information on a serviceman, you may use the contact form email to send your phone number. Please include your relationship and the best time to contact you.
Is my information shared with others?
We are committed to protecting your privacy and do not disclose your personal contact info to others.
I found an error in your data, how can I get it corrected?
Please email any corrections using this LINK.
Why does the page I’m viewing say, ‘No Comments’?
This just means that no comments or messages have been posted for that person. If you click on that link, you will find the place to leave a message.
Why doesn’t my comment show up as soon as I submit it?
All comments must be approved. Most comments are reviewed within 24 hours. Freedom Remembered is a memorial site and is intended for family and friends to connect with the service member. Messages with negative connotations, spam or advertising, will not be approved.
How is Freedom Remembered funded?
Freedom Remembered is funded solely by the website founder and through donations. If and when donations exceed the hosting costs, 100% are then forwarded to non-profit organizations that support military causes.
