Captain Elizabeth Kealey
Captain Elizabeth Kealy, 32, of Indiana, Pennsylvania, died on January 23, 2015, after the UH-1Y helicopter she was flying in crashed in the Southern California desert. She succumbed from her injuries at Twenty-Nine Palms Marine Base.
Captain Kealy was from Indiana, Pennsylvania and commissioned in 2005. She was deployed twice with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and once in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
Captain Kealy was based at Camp Pendleton.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
