Tech Sgt. Daniel Lee Zerbe

Died: August 6, 2011 in Wardak, Afghanistan

Tech. Sgt. Daniel L. Zerbe, 28, of Red Lion, Penn., was assigned to the 24th Special Tactics Squadron, Pope Field, N.C. He died Aug. 6 in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed. Dan is a 2001 graduate of Red Lion High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force the following August serving as a Technical Sergeant in the Pararescue Unit. He graduated from Red Lion in 2001 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a technical sergeant in the pararescue unit.

Burial is at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia – Sec 60 Site 9940
