Spc Jon Paul Fettig

Died: July 22, 2003 – outskirts of Ar Ramadi, Iraq
Spc Fettig was assigned to 957th Engineer Company (V Corps), Bismarck, North Dakota – his unit builds and maintains bridges and helps transport cargo. He was killed when the Heavy Expanded-Mobility Tactical Truck he was in was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. Jon attended Heart River Elementary in Dickinson and graduated from Manzano High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He entered the National Guard in 1991, and served in Albuquerque and Dickinson.
