Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza of El Paso, Texas died at age 28 in Charkh, Logar province, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked his unit with indirect fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. Roberto graduate from Mountain View High School and joined the Army in June of 2002. He was scheduled to come home from Afghanistan about a month.
Burial is at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas – Sec G Site 459
