Staff Sgt. Raul M. Guerra of Union City, New Jersey died at age 37 in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. He was serving on his fifth deployment to Afghanistan or Iraq. Guerra enlisted in 1999 and initially trained as a mechanic. Guerra deployed to Afghanistan three times with a unit from Fort Bragg, N.C., between 2002 and 2006. In 2007, he changed specialties in the Army and became a human intelligence collector. He deployed to Iraq from October 2007 to December 2008 with his unit from Fort Stewart, Ga. Guerra was assigned to Lewis-McChord in July 2011. He deployed with his current unit in May. Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia – Sec 60 Site 10174
