Staff Sgt. Ernesto G. Cimarrusti of Douglas, Arizona graduated from Douglas High School in 2000. One of eight children, he spent his youth with his mother in Cananea, Sonora and moved back to Douglas when he was 12 to live with his oldest brother while he attended middle school where he played football and practiced karate, though music quickly became his passion. He dreamed of working in the music industry one day. As a teen, Ernesto became an adept disc jockey. He hoped to parlay his experience with melding music on the dance floor into a lucrative producing career. He joined the Army after hish school and was serving his third tour in Iraq. He has been in the Army seven years. He is survived by his wife Illiana, a daughter and a son. He was preceded in death by two other brothers. There was a full military memorial at Calvary Cemetery and he was buried in Cananea next to his brothers. He was transported to the Panteon Severiano moreno in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico for burial. There is a memorial marker for him at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
