Spc Ronnie J. Pallares

Died: October 23, 2010 in Ghazni, Afghanistan
Spc. Ronnie J. Pallares of Rancho Cucamonga, California is a 2008 graduate of Alta Loma High School. Most everyone knew him as, Pumpkin, and most also agree that he always had a smile for everyone he met. Ronnie enlisted in the United States Army in 2008, arriving at Fort Bragg in February of 2009. Ronnie was serving his first deployment. His Awards and Decorations include, the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge and Parachutist Badge. He died at age 19 in Andar district, Ghazni, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. Back home in Rancho Cucamonga, he had attended Abundant Living Family Church since he was seven years old.
