Born: February 5, 1985 in Lakehurst, New Jersey
Died: December 13, 2005 in Taji, Iraq

Spc. Peter J. Navarro of Wildwood, Missouri graduated from Lafayette High School in 2003 where he was a member of the Air Force Jr. Reserve Officer’s Training Corps Program and the Philippine Art Foundation of St. Louis. He is the son of Jose and Rowena Paredes Navarro and the brother of Kevin A. and the late Daniel A. Navarro. He was killed at age 20 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee while conducting combat operations in Taji, Iraq. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Michael S. Zyla, Sgt. Brian C. Karim and Spc. James C. Kesinger.
