Spc. Hilda I. Clayton
Spc. Hilda I. Clayton of Augusta, Ga., died at age 22 in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, of a non-combat related incident that occurred in Qaraghahi, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation. She was assigned to the 55th Signal Company (Combat Camera), 21st Signal Brigade, Fort George G. Meade, Md. Clayton served as a combat documentation specialist assigned to the 21st Signal Brigade based at Fort Meade, Md. Chad Jones, a Fort Meade spokesman, says Clayton joined the unit a year ago after graduating from the Army post’s Defense Information School. Hillcrest Memorial Park.
