Spc. Brushaun X. Anderson

Spc. Brushaun Xavier Anderson, of Columbus, Georgia, graduated from Carver High School in 2007 and joined the Army the following fall. He arrived at Fort Drum, New York, in May 2008. He served as an infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry). He deployed in October 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum. He died of wounds suffered from a non-combat related incident. Brushaun came from a large family and is survived by nine siblings along with his parents and many other relatives. A brother preceded him in death. Brushaun called himself “The King of SOL” and was an avid gamer.
Burial: Green Acres Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.
