Sgt Tyler Dee Prewitt

Sgt. Tyler D. Prewitt of Phoenix, Arizona graduated from Greenway High School in 2001. He was attending Phoenix College where he played baseball. At the time of the attacks on the World Trade Center in September 2001, Tyler was recovering from a broken jaw from a baseball injury. As soon as he was well enough, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a field medic. He leaves his parents, Tim and Jonnie Prewitt, and two brothers Chad and Richie. Tyler died at age 22 in Landstuhl, Germany, from injuries sustained September 24 when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his vehicle in Baqubah, Iraq. His organs were donated.
