Sgt Kyle Brandon Stout

Died: July 30, 2010 in Kandahar, Afghanistan

Sgt. Kyle B. Stout of Wake Village, Texas is the son of Mike and Robin Stout and is a 2002 graduate of Texas High School in Texarkana. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. Kyle joined the United States Army in July of 2006 and arrived at Fort Campbell in November of 2006. He was currently serving in Afghanistan where he had been deployed since June of 2010. Kyle previously served a tour in Iraq from Oct of 2007 and returning in the fall of 2008. His Awards and Decorations include, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Air Assault Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge – Wheeled Vehicle and Weapons Qualification: M4, expert. In addition to his parents, he leaves, a brother, Michael, a sister, Melissa, and his best friend, Ryan Sikes. He died at age 25 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
