Sgt Jason Charles Denfrund

Sgt. Jason C. Denfrund of Cattaraugus, New York was a 2000 graduate of Cattaraugus Central School where he was a defensive lineman for the Timberwolves while he was a student at Cattaraugus Little Valley High School and later for the Brockport Golden Eagles while he was enrolled at the State University at Brockport for a year. He enlisted in the Army in June 2001. Duty assignments were in Vilseck, Germany before deployments took him to Kosovo and Iraq. He was decorated with the Purple Heart, Army Commendation medal, Army Achievement medal, Army Good Conduct medal. National Defense Service ribbon, Kosovo Campaign medal, Iraq Campaign medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Army Service ribbon, NATO medal, Combat Infantryman badge and the Driver badge. Jason is survived by his wife, stepdaughter and son Jayden, his parents and also two sisters. He was 24.
