Sgt. First Class James W. Trusty Jr. of Dayton, Ohio was an instructor at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Ft. Bragg. He served 25 years in the Army. He served in operations in Honduras, Panama, Kuwait (Operation Desert Storm) and Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). James was awarded the Bronze Star with “V” device, as well as various awards for military merit and achievement. James is survived by his mother, Donna Trusty, and wife, Dedra Trusty. He also is survived by a son, James Pace, and four daughters: Joy Pace, Tawanna Carroll, Heather Thompson and Ashley Thompson.

Burial is at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio – Sec 38 Site 130

    Damn was in Afghanistan when you died buddy. Miss you bro and your love for that truck/bronco thing you had. Anyway, you were a big help to me both times when I came back from Iraq. Thanks for the help at Freedom Village you were a great NCO!
