Pv Adrien Augustin of Covington, Kentucky was a 2007 graduate of Newport High School, where he played football. Adrien joined the Marine Corps and was currently training at Paris Island. He was scheduled to graduate from boot camp on Aug. 28, 2009. He had already undergone the last part of the physical-fitness requirement. Survivors include his mother, Paula Beth Smith Augustin; father, Jean Vednor Augustin; sisters, Chanel Augustin, Vedna Augustin and Marie Augustin; brother, Jean Augustin, uncle, Paul Steven Smith; and girlfriend, Sarah Christine Szabo. Adrien died at age 20 at Paris Island, South Carolina while training at boot camp.
Burial is at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky – Sec MG Site 010
