Pfc. Nathan Tyler Davis

Pfc. Nathan T. Davis, 20, Yucaipa, Calif., died June 9, in Tore Obeh, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when his vehicle was attacked with an enemy improvised explosive device. Davis was assigned to the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Known best as Tyler, was a 2010 graduate of Green Valley High School. He joined the Army in September 2010 and came to Alaska in February 2011. It was Davis’ first deployment overseas.
