Pfc. Jason Hill Estopinal

Pfc. Jason H. Estopinal of Dallas, Georgia attended East Paulding High School graduating in 2007. Even though he disliked it, he was called “JJ” by just about everyone. He was a quiet low keyed kid who shunned mischief. After high school, Jason went to work for the Cobb County Parks and Recreation Department where he mowed and maintained ball fields and cleaned facilities. But Jason often spoke of enlisting in the Marines to serve his country and for the eduactional opportunities. So he entered in January of 2009 along with a friend and was sent to Afghanistan the following October. His awards include the Combat Action Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and a number of other service decorations. He died at age 21 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Jason is the son of Jason Parker Paul Estopinal and Claire Hill Estopinal and the brother of Parker Paul Estopinal.
