Maj Kevin Michael Jenrette

Maj. Kevin M. Jenrette of Lula, Georgia was a 1990 graduate of Lyman Ward Military Academy and a 1995 graduate of North Georgia College. Upon graduation, Kevin was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Army where he became an Army Ranger. In July 1999, he was promoted to captain. He became a member of the Georgia National Guard in 2005 where he served as a full-time officer with the Recruiting Sustainment Program. Kevin was promoted again to Major in August of 2005. Kevin had a love for the military, but his love for his family far exceeded any other love. He also loved hunting, taking his two boys fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. Kevin was a devout Christian and an active member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. He and his wife would have celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary on July 3, 2009. Kevin died at age 37 near Kapisa, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. He was married and had three young children.

We were Ranger Instructors together for 2 years and he was my Task Force Commander for 3 years.When i needed help, advice or a friend to call on he was there. Maj.
