Navy Medic Kyle Nolen of Ennis, Texas was a 2003 Ennis High School graduate. He joined the military in August of 2005 and was deployed to Iraq in August 2006. It had been his dream since elementary school. He devoted his life to helping make the world a better place believing he could make a difference. Even his career choice of becoming a Navy corpsman was an indication of the values he held for others. He wanted to save lives. Kyle was a bright outgoing young man filled with optimism, seeing the world for what it could be and felt an obligation to serve his country, and in the process, serve others. He was 21.
