Cpl. John H. Todd of Bridgeport, Pennsylvania loaded trucks for a window company and operated his own sign-painting business as a sideline. But his real passion was just to be a Marine. John was proud of the job he was doing in Iraq. He proved to be an excellent Marine and an excellent human being. He showed no strong emotion about being called up in January for his second deployment and sent to Iraq. He felt he was going over to do what he needed to do. He died from hostile fire at age 24.
