So sad to hear of Lance Cpl. Edward Dycus passing. RIP and thank you for your service.
May God strengthen your family through this terrible time. Can't wait for the day this war is over and they all come home.

During WWII, Winston Churchill, upon hearing the news one of his top commanders had lost his only son in battle, put pen to paper and wrote the following, quoting Sharkespeare's MacBeth where after the tyrant and usurper had been killed, Ross had to tell old Siward that his boy had perished in the struggle. "Your son, my Lord, has paid a soldier's debt; he only lived but til he was a man; the which no sooner had his prowess confirmed in the unshrinking station where he fought, but like a man he died."

Please allow this proud Blue Star Mother to add - your cause of sorrow must not be measured by your son's worth, for then it has no end. Let us speak quickly of his death and dwell lovingingly upon his life - for therein lies the light - the glory - then we shall all know him - we will help shoulder your burden. I do wish you peace and rest in the days ahead.

I just learned from your Dad on our OLS chat how much he loves you and misses you. My prayers are that he can find peace with your absence through your daughter.

Jesse is a Hero.. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting this brave Marine while on this earth. I will shake his hand when we are reunited with Jesus in heaven.
My soon to be wife Jessie Lynn is Jesse's aunt. She was in the delivery room with his mother as this Hero was born. She was the first person to hold him on this earth.. She was so proud when she carried him out of the delivery room to her brother Johnny Stites.
Jesse told his concerned family before he was deployed "If something happens and I die. I want everybody to know that I died doing what I love doing the most. Protecting my family."
Thanks to the Stites family and all of the other families whose loved ones have gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. You are in my prayers.
Future Proud Uncle in-law of Cpl. Jesse W. Stites
