Capt Todd Michael Siebert

Capt. Todd M. Siebert of Franklin Park, Pennsylvania was a lifelong resident and graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1990 and attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 1999 with honors. While attending high school he was a member of the R.O.T.C. Todd always wanted to be in the military, often dressing like a soldier in the backyard when he was very young. He had enlisted in 1992 and was promoted to sergeant in 1994 before he was commissioned as an infantry officer in 1999. He also served in Afghanistan in 2001 deploying nine days after the events of September 11th. He was awarded, the Purple Heart, the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the Navy Unit Commendation. Todd was a member of the Marine Historical Society & an avid collector of World War II military memorabilia. He is survived by his parents, Thomas W. & Dorothy Weiss Siebert,; his wife Darcy Shever Siebert, whom he married Aug. 8, 1994; 2 children: Nicholas and Alicia; a brother, Thomas, two sisters, Diana and Denise. Todd was killed in action at age 34 while conducting combat operations in the Al-Anbar Province of Iraq.
