As a marine who served in Viet Nam, I say God bless the Freeman family. Remember this: It was written long ago that "the bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike; and yet, notwithstanding, go out to meet it." And when asked who will defend us, each will answer "Here I am -- send me."

Matt,
You were a phenomenal pilot, an outstanding Marine, and a terrific friend. Your dedication to duty, the pride you had in your nation, and the faith you always showed your fellow Marines is awe inspiring. I don't have the words to express how much you will be missed. I think of you ever single day. You WILL NOT be forgotten. Rest easy my friend. We will carry on the fight. May God bless your family.

Captain Freeman,
Thank you for your sacrifice

The C-130 Hercules has never been viewed as a
"glamorous" aircraft. However, when that tail gate drops and 100+ replacements file out, or twenty pallets of badly needed supplies roll down, she is as beautiful as anything with wings.

When Capt. Freeman reports to the main gate,
St. Peter will welcome him. When God needs to deliver a 40,000 lb. miracle, he often begins
his transmission: "Herky bird,,Herky bird
