Sgt Cooper was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry, 172nd Infantry Brigade, Schweinfurt, Germany. He died of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. Chris began his career in the military in 2000 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
