Sgt. Christopher M. Cooper, 28, of Oceanside, California entered the Marine Corps in 2000 serving five years and completing a tour in Iraq. After a few months of civilian life in he joined the Army Reserves, then enlisted in the Active Army. He died at age 28 in CSC Scania, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He leaves his mother, Sherry Kennon, and a sister, Lori Coachman.
