1st Lt. Todd W. Lambka
1st Lt. Todd W. Lambka, 25, of Robbinsville, NC., formerly of Fraser, Mich., died Aug. 1, in Paktika province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he encountered an enemy improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan. Todd attended Robbinsville High School where he was on the wrestling team. He is also graduate of West Point where he received the Robert Foley Scholarship of Honor which is awarded to a cadet that excelled despite personal hardships. He was serving in Afghanistan with this twin brother who accompanied Todd back to the United States. Todd was serving his first deployment.

The loss of this great Soldier has left an empty spot in our hearts and in our home. Todd was an amazing person and will be missed greatly.
